Terroir, (pronounced tair wahr), is a French term and strictly translated refers to the earth. In the Carneros Region, the term is defined as a special set of conditions encompassing all the components that affect the grapes grown here. The soil’s chemistry and physical structure, the slope and orientation of the hills and valleys and the weather are all factors of terroir.

Located approximately 40 miles northeast of San Francisco, the Carneros Region’s moderate climate is created by fog, moist air, and cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean. Protected from harsh weather by the Coastal Range, Carneros summer days are warm with cool nights and winters are mild. As a result, grapes stay on the vine longer, reaching high acidity and full flavor development.

At Ceja Vineyards, we match vines to terroir, planting each variety where it grows best. Our wines are a true reflection of their origins.

Wine Tasting Salon, Lounge and Art Gallery in Downtown Napa

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Napa and surrounded by world-class restaurants, our chic wine tasting salon, lounge and art gallery offers the most complete sensory experience in the valley. Taste and purchase our award winning wines, sample artisan cheeses and gourmet food items, view original works by local artists and relax in the most luxurious leather sofas to the tunes of groovy salsa and Latin funk. We welcome tourists and locals alike - Bienvenidos!

Tastings

Enjoy and sample a minimum of four wines from our portfolio that may include our Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, two blends (Vino de Casa White and Vino de Casa Red) and a crisp Rosé called Bella Flor. Tastings are $10 per person. Wines may also be enjoyed in flights, by the glass or by the bottle. Non-alcoholic beverages also offered.

Artist in Residence

Through the artist exhibitions, Ceja Vineyards aims to create a cultural center in Napa that promotes conversation and provides a platform to the voiceless not just in this country but abroad as well.
